Let's start with Charlotte. Last week she had a head ultrasound, and the results came back normal. The doctor said, "I'm happy to report, she just has a big head!" and I was happy to hear it! I posted on my blog's Facebook page and Instagram first, so follow along there if you want news faster.

In five weeks, I've lost sixteen pounds. I can see it in my chin and neck in the picture, but lots of places in real life. Forgive the second picture. Apron still on from dish washing, but I noticed I was wearing the same shirt and thought we should document so that we have pictures that show progress. I still have plenty to lose, but I did the math, and at this rate, I'll be at my sixteenth birthday weight by June 18th. I'm totally game for that (but aware that I probably won't continue to lose steadily the whole time)!!

As a recap, the plan/diet that's working for me is Trim, Healthy Mama (which cuts out sugar, potatoes, pasta, milk, and white flour and focuses on fuel ((carb and fat)) separation). I've had tons of energy, and every day that I stay on plan, I weigh a little less than I did the day before. Obviously, I gain nothing by endorsing this diet, but it's working for me, so I completely recommend it.

Two of the products I've fallen in love with recently (that are on plan) are Bai drinks (Coconut, blueberry, and blood orange are my favorites. I got them from Sam's Club) and Lily's Chocolate (Coconut flavor, hello Valentine's Day!!). Ask me questions if you want! There's a small learning curve to this diet, remembering whether things are fats or carbs etc., and I'm understanding it way better these days!

My birthday is this weekend (26 years!!), and my friend Amelia took me to go get a manicure yesterday to celebrate. That's the first time (ever) that my natural nails have been long enough and strong enough to get done! So fun. More birthday celebration to follow.

I want to tell you guys about a book Matt got me for Christmas, but I have some projects to finish first and having a newborn slows down projects in exchange for cuddles. Soon though, I hope to finish a post about this book and the positive change it has made in our household.

    1. My mother bought me the cookbook for Christmas, and she started the plan with me at the beginning of the year! I did buy the plan book (from Barnes and Noble) and without it I couldn't have understood the plan completely! Totally worth it the investment, I think!

    1. Go to the pages that list things allowed in an S meal and things allowed in an E meal. When you are going to eat, decide which list you're going to eat off of, and then eat only things on that one list. That's how I started. Then you'll start to memorize which things you can pair together. Are you a fan of my Facebook page? If you message me there, I can send you some blogs that make recipes on plan. That way you don't have to buy the cookbook yet, but you can try some recipes.
