fab

Have you heard of fab? It's an ever changing, limited collection of modern, amazing items.

For the first time ever, I ordered something from them. I had admired them from afar for awhile, and it was finally time. I got this herb print.

Unfortunately, it arrived bent, creased right down the middle. I didn't blame fab, but their number was the one on the package, so I called them. The customer service lady was sweet as can be, easy to talk to, and called me by name in a casual, friendly way. I said it was creased. She said the new one was on its way. She added that she had given my account $15 of credit. That was it. She didn't ask for anything back. She didn't ask for proof that it was bent. Now I have a creased print, a new print on the way, and $15 more to spend at fab.

You know that feeling when you call a company about something being wrong? When you hang up, you feel like you just fought a battle. When I got off the phone with fab, I felt like I had just been given a gift. Amazing customer service: That's what I'm saying. Buy from fab.

merry christmas

That sign was just a slice of wood before my husband got his hands on it. Sure, it's a couple of months late, but I'm still giving it wall time. After all, it's snowed most of the week here. I can't get over how pretty this sign is. It's delicate and lovely. Perfect, right? I completely agree.

70s hair

For the first time in a year, I got my hair professionally cut today. Someone with a little of knowledge about healthy hair needed to put scissors to the jungle of death atop my head. It feels a little 70s to me. That being said, you can tell by the room I'm sitting in I am in favor of a 70s look. It's light and carefree, and it hasn't been curled or straightened. It isn't fussy; It's just me.

this week

  • Put this frosting on top of this cake. It's very possible that you won't even have to run to the grocery store before hand {first time ever}.
  • Open the windows and let the sunlight in.
  • Get in a few cat naps and take up all the space you need.
  • Read a good book. I've been reading First Born Advantage, which outlines the differences your birth order makes on your life. Interesting read.

spring break

Life has been so full lately. Full of family, school, nyquil, and snowballs. Spring break started today at 3:30, and I've been catching up on old work (sorry, boss) since then. My days are packed to the hilt, and I find it's removing my common sense. For example? I left my car running ALL night recently. Not in a garage or driveway. No, sirree. Instead, it was running in the parking lot between a bar and a gold exchange (a.k.a. our apartment complex parking lot). Thankfully(?), it was locked. Let's just be honest. It's a blessing from God that we still have two cars.

It's funny, how full I thought life was before student teaching. Now, instead of sitting and taking notes in a class, I am TEACHING a note-taking class. Trust me; It's more work to teach than to study. Have I mentioned that spring break started today? Have I mentioned that I will be a college graduate in less than two months?

Hoping to slow down this week and breathe a little.

p.s. I'm sorry my blog is so boring lately. My blog is just a snapshot (not literally, since I never take pictures) of my life, and life is too full to be interesting right now.

Hopefully this week, I'll get some happy posts in. Thanks for sticking around. Seriously.
