salutatorian

You could say that winning academic awards runs in my family. It runs on both sides of my family, in fact. Grandma was the Salutatorian at her college, and my father won the Greek award at his college. By God's grace, I've finished my four years at Crown College in Powell, TN. Late nights, a truck full of notes cards, and some inherited intelligence have won me the award of Salutatorian of my college. Second highest GPA in the graduating class. My college isn't as big as many others, with only 150 students graduating this semester. Regardless, it's an exciting congratulations for the hard work I've accomplished thus far. Of course, instead of being able to relax until graduation, this little award has earned me an extra headache: A short speech due tomorrow night. If you think of it, pray for me! It's so exciting to be closing this chapter of my life, and an unexpected blessing to be receiving this award

  1. YAY!!! Congratulations Amanda. Amanda's make great Salutatorians...I received this honor when I graduated for college as well. I was relieved when they asked me to sing instead of speak!!! LOL That was way easier to prepare with short notice!
    Praying for you!
