cash

This movie is about paying for your house with cash, and it's something we've been thinking about. Would it take that much longer? Would it be Biblical? Would it be worth it to remain debt free?

Thoughts? We're just thinking things through here.

  1. I want to do the same thing- I don't pretend to have any specific ideas about how much more difficult that is, but I've yet to ever have a credit card or any other form of debt in my life and I don't ever want to start. Houses in part of MN I want to live in don't cost a lot so it can't be impossible. Just think of it this way... 400 a month is 4800 a year, so by that way of thinking, my parent's 45,000 dollar house should've been paid for in 9 years.... nope, because of interest it's 30 years. Not cool.

    1. Right! Interest is crazy! Then, at the same time, you have to live somewhere while you save money, so maybe you pay your "interest" while renting... We're worried more about pleasing the Lord, than saving money. That's the hard part. :)
