red. red. they call me red.

I had my hair dyed red. It's bright and bold, and I love it. I was hoping it would look completely natural, but in personal it's a little like *BAM*. I'm a fan of it though. Also, we got some new dining room chairs (2nd hand of course) and added some much needed art to the wall. Ever since we combined the living room and dining room, I've had trouble liking the dining room side, but now it's amazing. Road trip to see some of my best friends (since we're about to graduate and one of us is moving to China for possibly her entire life) today. Be honest. What do ya think?

cap and gown

This moment felt like it should be captured. I was doing laundry in the bathroom sink on a gray morning, when it occurred to me that I was filling a need for the last time. This is the last time I would need several pairs of tights to be clean before Monday, so I can be in uniform. This coming week is my last week of school.

cash

This movie is about paying for your house with cash, and it's something we've been thinking about. Would it take that much longer? Would it be Biblical? Would it be worth it to remain debt free?

Thoughts? We're just thinking things through here.

less than 20

Only eighteen school days stand between me and that elusive piece of paper. You should see the look on people's faces when they ask what I'm doing after college. Some people ask if I have a job lined up, or drop the word "resume". All I want in the whole world is to raise a family for God's glory. I want to teach my little munchkins how to read, add, subtract, and paint. If this degree helps me with that, it has served its purpose. Often, our desire for a quiet, silly life full of children is looked down upon. I see it in their eyes, "What a waste of a degree." For me, there is nothing more worth while than investing everything I've learned in my own children.

legos

Back with fab again. I'm really enjoying this company. We used the credit that I told you about in my last post to buy one of these black "lego" containers. Stackable. Legitly lego. Can hold anything, and then eventually actually hold legos. Next, I ordered a white one, because I wanted to see the stackability in action, and because I would love to have a whole wall of these. They have a good selection of colors too (and a couple of lego heads). Too bad the green is already sold out, such a pretty color. To get in on the action, you can sign up for fab here. Then, just type lego up in the search box to get your hands on some stackable storage.
