Tsitsikamma National Park was one of the most beautiful spots we saw in South Africa. The road into the area was littered with baboons, while the rock hyraxes waited inside Tsitsikamma like squirrels in Central Park. The hike along the coast to the swinging bridges that ended in the pebble beach was tiring both directions, but the rest on the beach (next to the whale bones) was rejuvenating and worth the trek.
Matt and some of the Bergey boys climbed the cliff while we rested, disappearing over the bluff and into a driftwood-littered sea cave while the ladies, young and old, made rock piles and soaked up the sea breeze and sunshine.
The sunset on our drive home was typical South Africa, which is to say, purple, calming, and a beautiful end to a beautiful day.
