It was Sally Clarkson's book, Life-Giving Home, that recently pushed me to acknowledge seasons in my home decor. Her books about mothering resonated with me years back, inspiring me to beauty, highlighted to the hilt, and her podcast is a refreshing example of an older woman reaching down to teach the younger generation.
Ruth Chou Simons is a watercolor artist who showcases God's Truth in her work, beautifying the words, begging the world to stop and stare. Her Instagram account is a place of calm clarity, and her voice is one crying out into darkness. She is a bright sign, pointing to Jesus.
So, when Sally Clarkson and Ruth Chou Simons came together to our area for a homeschool mom conference, my mother and I booked a hotel room and grabbed our tickets.
