things i am currently keeping alive

I suppose it's my desire to mother that makes me happy to have something to take care of. Tater Tot always makes his needs understood, and so it is easiest to take care of him. I had some struggle with outdoor flowers last year, including herbs. This
year, we are successfully keeping two succulents, one tomato plant, and an elephant
ear plant alive. There's something about the growing greenery that excites me. New stalks spring up out of the water mixed with earth and before long everything is more full. Obviously it doesn't take much to keep these babies happy, but they certainly brighten up our little home.

There's a silence now as life slips into the new normal. Practically stressless in every way. Also, the plan has shifted {again}. The new plan is to buy a small house in full. So, we'll save up $50,000-$70,000 to buy our first home in Virginia Beach. It won't be our dream home, but it'll be an adorable starter home to raise a couple of babies in. Meanwhile, we'll be payment free and can save up for our forever home. Just trying to keep y'all in the loop. House tour to come soon. My brother Chris is living with us now, so everything has changed.

salutatorian

You could say that winning academic awards runs in my family. It runs on both sides of my family, in fact. Grandma was the Salutatorian at her college, and my father won the Greek award at his college. By God's grace, I've finished my four years at Crown College in Powell, TN. Late nights, a truck full of notes cards, and some inherited intelligence have won me the award of Salutatorian of my college. Second highest GPA in the graduating class. My college isn't as big as many others, with only 150 students graduating this semester. Regardless, it's an exciting congratulations for the hard work I've accomplished thus far. Of course, instead of being able to relax until graduation, this little award has earned me an extra headache: A short speech due tomorrow night. If you think of it, pray for me! It's so exciting to be closing this chapter of my life, and an unexpected blessing to be receiving this award
